Berry Frozen Yogurt

I used to go to frozen yogurt places a lot, you know, those places where you think "wow, they only charge you for what you get! I can save money!" And then you pile your cup full and it costs $7. . . Oops.

Anyway, I successfully made some frozen yogurt that tastes VERY similar to the expensive kind, but is super easy and cheap!

I used:

1 cup of yogurt (homemade, but any high quality yogurt with only cultured milk will work.)
8 strawberries
Approximately 1/4 cup blueberries
A teensy bit of honey (do it how you like it)

Throw it all in the blender until it is chunk-free. If you used frozen fruit, you could probably eat it right now, but if you want a better texture, put it in an ice cream freezer like I did and let it go!

So easy. So yummy. So healthy. My 2 year old was thrilled that "ice cream" was part of lunch ;-)

Chocolate Chipotle Cherry Ice Cream

I have no pictures at the moment because it always mysteriously disappears.

Ingredients:
2 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup cocoa powder
Some honey. I don't use very much, 'cause I don't like it sweet.
3 egg yolks
1/8-1/4 tsp adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers

Chopped cherries.

Combine everything but the cherries and mix well. Make it in your ice cream freezer according to its directions, adding cherries toward the end.
Enjoy it a lot.

Ps: if you leave out the cherries and put in coffee beans instead that is also awesome.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Somehow I can't bear mixing blog themes, so here is a repository for recipes that I have tried/created...

I love pumpkin spice lattes, and since I had a can of pumpkin open in the fridge it was the perfect time to make one.

It's easy!

1 cup of coffee
1 T unsalted butter
1 T coconut oil
1 T pumpkin purée
1 t honey (or to taste)
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Ginger

Put it all in your blender. Blend until it is emulsified.
Yum.
